Micah McCool with the Red Sox went 3-3 with recording 3 outs in the infield.
Henry (Josiah) Maldonado with the Blue Rocks had an outstanding opening day at the plate, going 4 for 5 and crossing home plate all five times. His defensive performance was just as impressive, recording five outs-including a dominant second inning where he snagged two come-backers at pitcher and fired a throw to first for a perfect 1-2-3 frame. Josiah's all -around play was a key factor in the Blue Rocks' opening day victory.
Harry Huynh with the Nationals went 3/3 and scored a run for the team. He had a great attitude all game!
Zach Meneses with the Rockhounds took the mound for the first time this season and put up 3 strikeouts. Way to start off the season!
Zach Lebanno with the Yankees, first time playing in a real game. Went 3 for 3 with an RBI
Andraymer Reynoso with the White Sox caught 5 innings and did it willingly and without a complaint. He also had a big RBI late in the game. We appreciated Andraymer's willingness to catch and his positive attitude.
Sloane Goodwin had two line drive hits and also made an awesome stop while playing first base!
Olivia Carl from the UCF Knights had the best attitude! She was always excited after each of her hits and great plays! Olivia also played catcher for the first time and KILLED IT!
Ella Vandermay from the BullDogs was the starting pitcher and had 5 strikeouts while going 1 for 2 at the plate with an RBI
Alexa Mijanagos from the UCF Knights crushed a ball to right field, her base running was amazing, and she put a lot of pressure on the pitcher/catcher. Alexa had 4 stolen bases, scored twice, and did a great job playing defense!
Caysen Dobrow went 6 for 6, scored 6 RBI's and completed 5 outs at the first base position across two games this week. More importantly he's diligent and works hard to help his teammates.
Fewa dominated at pitching this week! He fired a bullet to throw out a runner at first and made an incredible shoestring catch on a fly ball. He went a perfect 4 - for - 4, scoring three runs, and hustling with every ounce of energy he had. Fewa proved he's a true team player.
Sebastian Quinn with the Tigers had one RBI and was able to score the winning run in the sixth inning.
Brantley Steele with the minors closed the game in the 5th and 6th. Striking out 3 allowing only one hit. Hitting 2 for 2 with a double and an RBI.
Frankie Dellatte pitched all 5 innings, only giving up 4 hits and had 9 K's.
Crosby Shirley with the Nationals had his first outing on the mound this weekend and threw a no hitter in the first inning!
Demi Escalera with the Stetson Hatters had a phenomenal game at pitching, making an out at first and then she immediately tagged a runner out at third base for a double play!! Way to play smart Demi!!
Leyla Cueva with the Huskies had a game winning double, driving in two runs, and made some outstanding plays at second base, recording two key outs. Great job, Leyla!
Shea Barahona from the Wolverines went 2 for 2 at the plate and scored twice. She also came in to pitch in the 3rd inning and struck out two batters.
Rylee Eljabour with the Seminoles was the best example of a teammate this week. Rylee Stepped up into a new position and did a great job when her team needed her most. She always gives 100%
Liam McNatt had 3 nice hits to the outfield and also had some nice defensive plays. Most importantly, he did it all with a great attitude and a smile on his face!
Chase Jones had an outstanding effort on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he went 5 for 5 with 2 triples and 4 RBIs. Defensively he recorded 6 outs to lead the Storm to a 23-18 victory.
Owen Vandermay with the Tigers in two games went 5 for 6, three runs scored and seven defensive putouts. Owen is considered a leader amongst his teammates with a great attitude.
Gavin ACEvedo with the Iron Birds pitched 4 innings, 74 pitches, 49 strikes, 7 strikeouts, 1 earned run and he also hit an inside the park HR.
Emanuel Mejia with the Phillies went 5 for 8 scoring 5 runs over a 3 game span.
Bo Wells with the Yankees went 2 for 3 with 5 RBIs to secure the win!
Londyn Rosado with the Stetson Hatters had big hits off the coach pitch - a line drive to third base an another hit up the middle scoring 4 runs!! Way to bring the big bat Londyn
Vivienne Lee from the Knights is always trying her best. She went 3 for 3 with 3 RBI's and hit her very first HOMERUN! Vivienne also caught 3 pop flies and is becoming a force on the field.
Maryann Cinalli from the Bulldogs is a hard-working young lady who puts in the full effort every time she's asked. She had an outstanding bunt for a hit plus 5 stolen bases. On top of that she keeps putting in the effort as one of the Bulldogs regular pitchers.
Jenna Devor from the knights went 2 for 2 batting and had her first homerun. She always has a great attitude and works really hard.
Tessa Rothrock from the Gators was the starting pitcher in game one and she was a closer in game two. She showed a lot of confidence and courage going in there and doing a fantastic job.
